Anter-Planter

Anter-Planter is a game action developed by Tial Trading and published by Tial Trading. Originally released in Sweden, United Kingdom in 1984. Currently you can download and play the game for Commodore 64.

You're Pete and you're happily watering the plants in your vegetable garden when it is invaded by a plague of ants, bent on eating everything growing in your garden on several levels. Armed with a high-pressure hose powered by a backpack, your only hope is to drown the ants, and since it's also a hot day, you have to keep the plants watered as well before they die. Anter-Planter is a single-screen game in which you must move around the garden with three plots, hitting as many ants as you can with your hose while a timer counts down. As the plants get smaller, you must also hit them with water to make them grow back, and if they get too small, they disappear.

Your backpack can only hold a certain amount of water and when it is empty you must enter the greenhouse to fill it. When the timer reaches zero, you must have at least one plant in each plot to move on to the bonus game. The bonus game is also single screen and this time you are in the anthill and you must kill as many ants moving through a maze as possible before another timer counts down. Once you have played the bonus game, you will move on to the next level where more fast ants will appear. There are three speeds to choose from: slow, medium and fast.
